...... However, their follow-up In Utero was not good. It's actually hard to listen to. And then Nirvana was over.

You can enjoy him or anyone else all you want which is the point of this thread, but keep the hero-worship in check, please. .....
All Apologies and Heart Shaped Box are off "in utero" and are classic grunge. But, agreed two songs don't an album make. Me? I'm too old to be a grunge guy and I prefer REM, but they were a decade earlier. Nirvana was a phenomenon like the Beatles were in the 60's. But I did not appreciate this self-destructive nihilism affecting the youth, it is very dangerous and spiritually unhealthy. I gave away my Nirvana CDs when Cobain was gone. No Hero worship here, though this may have shocked the youth back into a living a meaningful existence.

But, "keep the hero-worship in check? What! Are you a deputy of the Hero police? The Thread police?

C'mon, man !

Mike Bloomfield, Roy Buchanan, Leon Russell

I appreciate the wat this list brings back a lotta great music memories.
One of the best concerts I ever attended was an outdoor concert in Conshohocken, PA with Freddie King and Leon Russell in 1971 or 1972. King died at the early age of 56.
