Which manufacturer has a good history of updating drivers for their laser printers?

That is cheap. I think I paid $20 for a pack of two toner cartridges that supposedly print 6k pages. I can usually refill a cartridge with bulk toner a couple of times before they go develop issues.
I dont use mine enough to matter maybe 1-2 ream a year. But super nice that when I do need it.. Always works.

I can find drivers compatible with Windows 10, but not for Windows 11. I won't give up just yet, if there is some way I can get it to work. I'd like to have a printer in Florida without buying one.

I'll get the model information once I get back home to Michigan next week.
when they forcibly installed windows 11 on the masses, there had to be backwards compatibility for the drivers

also don't be tempted to update the printer's firmware in case it disables knockoff toner carts

I have had my Brother printer a long time.

I use the Apple(air print) and chromebook Wi-Fi printing so I don’t deal with any drivers.

Brother does, but I don't like their interface and wifi connectivity issues. But it works. Eventually.
are you talking direct print wifi or connecting the brother to your network with wifi?

I use ethernet.. then its on my home network and all the wifi is on the phone /wap etc.. works flawless.

We only have two of our printers on our WiFi network both are Brother
so they are on the wifi using wifi or on wifi with an ethernet cable to your router?
I having trouble 100% determining your configuration with your chosen description
if they are connected with "wifi" to your router try using an ethernet cable that should fix issues.
my printers are available on wifi but by connecting to a router with cable.. much more reliable.
I had issues with waking from sleep on wifi(not hardwired) at one site.

Still 1/10 the issues I had with canon and HPs (at least home models)

No cables. Would be a hassle, but yes that is what happens. Must reboot printers to wake them.

do you buy knockoff toner? if not, i.e. you buy genuine OEM brother toner, maybe check the brother website for a firmware update. i don't trust those automatic check for update functions built into the printer itself.
if there is an update you will likely have to bring a laptop and update over a USB cable, or over a long ethernet cable (if that would require a 50 or 100 ft ethernet cable, it can possibly be sourced at a dollar store for very cheap). i have great reluctance to perform fw updates over wifi
