which fuel cleaner works best?

I definitely wouldn't put a whole bottle of MMO in the gas tank. It could damage your car. You should follow their recommendation. However, you can mix the whole bottle with your oil.

Techron Total Fuel System Cleaner and Red Line SL-1 have thesame 50% PEA conentration ..Buy whichever is cheaper and be happy.
Both will clean EXACTLY the same.

Very impressed with Chevron. My car has honestly never ran better. I use top tier Shell gas too. Very surprised it had that much of an impact.

I keep on being impressed by Regane High Mileage. Whatever they put in it, it's making my 99 Buick LeSabre run like silk right now.

I've torn apart my car's fuel system and looked at the injectors, injector O-rings, and other rubber/plastic bits in the fuel system at the engine. No degradation beyond normal wear and tear (or too little for the eye to see/nose to smell) was found, despite fuel system cleaner use about every 5k miles for the past 50k miles.

No.

Our old 99 sable was damaged several years back with citgo's massive excess does of sulfer. At first the fuel gauge was dead then after using cleaner, redline I believe it started working again. Though everafter it floated around bout 1/4 tank that it never did before. So you wouldn't want to get very low if your driving patterns changed and you couldn't go by miles driven.

If the problem is deposits, yes, Techron Concentrate Plus has been been known to work for some people. It won't fix a shorted, or a bad connection to the sending unit, or other mechanical/electrical problem.

Does anyone know how Valvoline's Complete Fuel System Cleaner or Shell's V-Power Complete Fuel System Cleaner compare to Techron's Concentrate Plus or Regane?
