Which brand of motor oil has the thickest/most durable quart containers?

My question here isn't your standard one. I'm interested in keeping a quart of oil in my car full-time for emergencies. I'm simply trying to find the most durable quart container that has no chance of breaking open and ruining my trunk space. Do you find any brands more durable than others? Thanks!

I had a regular old bottle of castrol in my trunk for like 4 years? Never leaked.

Your probably over thinking it. Thicker plastics isn't necessarily less likely to leak - since if it does it will be because of a seam or short fill.

Apparently BITOG has run out of things to discuss, and now we've morphed the "thickest oil" debate into the search for the "thickest oil container" ...
SMH ...

I keep a spare quart of inexpensive ST in the void under the spare tire. Done it for years. Never once worried about the viability of the container.

I use a spare oil bottle constructed of 1 inch thick clear Lexan, with no outlet, just in case it leaks.

Why not just buy a new quart of oil a year, and rotate the old one to the crankcase?
Put it in a gallon ziploc as a backup to ease any undue stress you may be experiencing.
Crisis averted.

My 911 has a leak proof zip up pouch that holds an extra quart of oil in the frunk.

Of the bottles i've handled, M1, Pennzoil, Vavoline bottles are stout. Castrol feels a little lower in quality. Supertech conventional 15w40 2 gallon jugs are pretty flimsy. I've never handled a premium jug of Amsoil, HPL etc.

I keep a quart of hygard and a few quarts of T4 15w40 with me. The T4 will work with anything as a top off, and have 3 machines that use hygard.

People are probably afraid to get flamed if they say anything about using anything but a 40wt in their daily drivers that see 4 seasons and 90 degree temp swings.
