Which Amsoil and which HPL?

When I used Amsoil, it was their SS or whichever was their top line at the time (2001 - 2013). I am currently using HPL 0W-40 Super Car oil and the P+PCMO 0W-8. I plan to continue using the Super Car for my MB but may go with the PCMO for the 25 Toyota until it is out of warranty then switch to the P+PCMO for extended drain intervals.

HPL make all of their lines premium/full treat/FS whereas Amsoil has diversified their line to be more mainstream in some areas. Amsoil is larger than HPL and probably RL and they've diversified their offerings through multiple tiers with blends, HM oils etc. I always go with SS when using Amsoil.

Ive moved on from it with the box store oils because its a price point market filled with everything being dexos rated and limp wristed zinc swill. I love seeing the Amsoil, HighPerformanceLubricants, Redline, Penrite and others in peoples signature and pictures. If boutique oils phase out or cant find that market its possible all we will have to listen to is @TiGeo on Liquimoly or @tig1 about Mobil 1 and that would be okay, but there are better products out there and I am thankful for that!
You seem to be a tad confused about which oil you need to use. I simply give my experience for the last few decades using the product I speak of.

I've recently converted all of my vehicles to HPL Premium Plus. If we take the case of 0w-20 the HPL is clearly the superior product on paper featuring a higher flash point, lower pour point and slightly higher VI and HTHS. What the real world difference might be is a matter of speculation at best. Perhaps a year from now one of my vehicles will have accumulated enough miles to justify a UOA.
