You'd be surprised; after a time the Phaetons modules all shut down and the car actually does go to "sleep."

It's Rust-Oleum Rock Solid Metallic Epoxy. Saw it at Lowe's and figured it would be worth a go. Followed the directions and it's holding up well.

That's right! The car was delivered with with a paint matched front frame. The original owner never had a plate on it and I thought it was ugly, so I got a euro plate to match my NC plate. I've since put a repro Wolfsburg shield and inspection month sticker on the plate to complete the look.
