Hvac supply. The bummer is that they usually mark up parts for the season ie furnace parts in the summer are significantly cheaper.

Carrier doesn't make fans - they bend sheet metal and assemble parts. So I wouldn't worry a whole lot about what label is on it.

Google the part number and buy one from whomever can ship it fastest. You can always order another one later, when your not desperate - and replace it in the spring.

Or pay $1000 for the callout.

SupplyHouse.com is where I buy all of my HVAC parts if they are not available from Amazon.

CARRIER Draft Induction Motor

Personally, I would roll the dice on an aftermarket part (since it is just the draft induction motor) at half the OEM price via Amazon Prime.

CLIMATEK Draft Induction Motor

Leaking what???

Most of them will seep a little oil...... but they don't hold enough to actually leak.
Unless its sealed, easy enough to oil. If it sealed, don't worry about it.

If it's the capacitor leaking, that is just a few dollars.

Indoor blower motors are very robust..... one of the least changed parts in a unit.

blower motor >oil on bottom of furnace.. I'm not worried about that.. I can replace it if it goes.

Supplyhouse is friday delivery 400$ << probably going with this.. thank you.

climatek is from northamericanhvac that has a 50% restocking fee and likes to send out wrong parts.. at least from their 1.7 star rating online.
everywhere is sunday or later.

Isn't CLIMATEK is free shipping and returns on Amazon Prime?

SupplyHouse was supposed to be free shipping. Was the extra cost for expedited shipping?

PM me if you want to chat privately about your HVAC scenario.

everywhere else on amazon is monday or later.

Supplyhouse is aprox 385 after 24$sales tax. (looked it up again)>> ordered from here.
The supplyhouse product is definitely better than the amazon product but 2x better.. if that was the only consideration I
would have purchased on amazon.

Just got cold weather here its 15f tonight and 20mph winds.. last few days were 50f's and would have been a much better time for it to die.

climatek is sold by northamericanhvac with bad rep.
ships from amazon. 50% restocking fee and they ship alot of duds/wrong parts according to reviews
I dont want to be fixing this still mid-next week.

Living in Minnesota, I always stock an inducer blower/ roll out sensor, pressure and igniter after 3 years of a new furnace. Because Murphy's law will have one of those go down on a Saturday night on a 15 to 20 negitive deg night.

I just Installed a ACiQ furnace and ACiQ inverter AC unit ( Carrier discount brand ) in my daughter's 1884 un-insulated farm house on St Paul, I will be pushing those for her to get in 3 years too. If she goes down because of a bad part/ or power outage, with how that house looses heat, she only has about 2 hour to 3 hours till the pipes freeze at those temps.I also have a 1,900/2,500 inverter generator that was just bought in a power outage scenario and she will be getting insulation once we can find someone here who has the new Mineral wool chopper/blowers that are coming out, as I want her to get mineral wool and not celulous fill. I have 2 different warning temp sensorsystems to warn us of a temp drop. Router/Modem has a 3 hour battery backup on them to insure we have a good chance of getting the warning.

Oh and we have 8 cheap 1,500 watt and 500 watt ceramic electric heaters to keep the areas where the piping is ran. Outlets are marked for her to place each heater so the wiring and amp load are safe for her. I myself did the full cooper re-plumband all new drain/vent/stack PVC. Also did the full pole to new panel and every switch and outlet as it WAS a 1940 knob and tube redo. ALL the work was permitted and passed to the shugrin of the wife (money and hassle/time). But it is safe. ( all the inspectors commented on the industrial overkill on each of the trades I did on every aspect of the house ). It took her not being in the house and 1 year and one, month to do ( still have1.5 2 months left of that window till she is in.)

where in ne ohio are you. Any interest in driving to erie pa?

if so please reply and also pm me.
Have to work all day.
I appreciate the offer, live sw of akron

borrowing 2 heaters and bought 2.
House is at 63f.
Should be ok for 2 days I have 200amp electric service and tons of breakers in small house.

Does that one have the hall effect sensor built into it?
I have a carrier and had a problem a few years ago where the motor would run for a couple seconds then cut off, still ended up having to replace the whole thing because mine has the hall effect(speed sensor) built into it. Luckily I have 2 zone heat so I could wait for the part to come.

the draft inducer motor is locked up, Can spin it 1/2 turn at a time with screwdriver
It was lightly squeaking occasionally a week ago.. guess I should have been faster.

The furnace has a pressure switch which never triggers the furnace to come on... since the draft inducer is doing nothing.

I got 4 electric heaters going. sucks it had to go out on the coldest 2 days of the year so far with high winds and teens (15f)

Part showed up 30min later I had the 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
House was down to 50f I was too cheap to spend $10 on electricity to keep it warm this morning.
also dont like leaving dodgy electric heaters on when not home.(main reason)

For the more hvac challenged this was what died.
The turbo lookin thing with the electric motor sticking out.. replaced as one piece.

Bravo, @Rand!

You saved yourself several hundred dollars by repairing it yourself and as BITOG regular, I am certain that your workmanship exceeded the HVAC technician's quality.
