I havent found any API SP oil anywhere. Has anyone seen it on the shelf yet? Maybe covid has delayed its release?
No sir. Just wondering why I havent been able to find it?Your car requires it?
Local AAP in my locale (east central GA) has some SP rated on the shelf (couple different brands) . Saw it today.I havent found any API SP oil anywhere. Has anyone seen it on the shelf yet? Maybe covid has delayed its release?
All of the major brands have updated their line-up, I even noticed Warren's MAG1 line has SP rated monograde, but it's just gonna take some time for the updated stuff to hit the distributors and the store shelfs.Maybe you should start by finding what brands have the SP license first, and then go from there.

The only thing I've seen people get on someone about was complaining that they didn't receive SP from Amazon, because it's not really that big of a deal, I don't think there's been any major changes to most full synthetic oils, the only benefit I see from SP is that to meet SP/GF-6A the oil manufacturers had upgrade their conventional 5W offerings to syn-blend.Some think looking for SP oil is a felony
I'm using there diesel 15w40 right now. Even got a voa on it. Pretty good stuffI even found it in the grocery store I shop at in N.Ohio. The brand on the shelf was Primeguard.
I havent found any in my area. It's not a big deal or anything, just figured I should see some by now.Mobil 1 and Valvoline both carry the SP spec. API SP rated should not be hard to find at all.
No Walmarts near you?I havent found any in my area. It's not a big deal or anything, just figured I should see some by now.
Would be interesting to see the voa. That store has a BOGO right now. 2 for $2.99. I might be tempted to give it a try.I'm using there diesel 15w40 right now. Even got a voa on it. Pretty good stuff

I am confused. Your OP said you haven't found any yet, but if you don't look how can you find any?Theres 5 near me. I'm not checkin every bottle. Figured mobil 1 would have it.
This is trueThere is a good chance that those SN+ bottles you saw had SP oil in them. They just couldn’t label them as such until the defined date.
