What's in your grease gun???

Loaded up a tube of Valvoline Crimson Red Grease in the Milwaukee grease gun on Monday.

Little late posting, but about a week ago I loaded up my mini grease gun. I bought the three pack 3oz tubes of Traveller Marine grease--Calcium Sulfonate based--and loaded one into the gun. Gave the other two cartridges to a couple of friends since neither owned any grease.

In goes another tube of Mystik JT-6. It says "provides superior protection in heavily-loaded industrial, mining and construction applications".

I used it on the riding lawnmower. Hope that's OK.

I was tired of the Mobil 1 grease separating and leaking all over the place
I bought "Waterproof Green Grease" at AAP
Seems to work well for my infrequent use

I finally got the 6 tubes of Timken Wheel bearing & Chassis grease that I ordered last November. Loaded my red grease gun with a cartridge and greased up my TRE's and DLE's.

I finally got another full sized grease gun after throwing my old one into the woods in frustration. I bought this used grease gun at the habitat for humanity store and it came loaded with this strange snot-green grease and I have no idea what it is.

On a lark I did some ad hoc tests with the grease. It's fairly water soluble as I put some in a cup with water and a day later it has visibly changed color and has swelled up. It's also very easily flammable. I don't think I can find any use for this stuff so it's getting dumped in favor of some Valvoline lithium complex I've got on the shelf.

I don't know anything about greases yet. Is Mystik JT-6 a good "universal" grease, if there is such a thing?

Yes, it's a fine general purpose grease that's suitable for suspension and steering commponents, wheel bearings, and most things automotive.
