I re-post since things have changed:

'92 Aerostar 3.0 V6: Still running Redline 10w30 with a Maxlife Filter.

'95 F150 4.9L I6: Running 6.5 quarts of Durablend 10w40 with 10 oz of PCMO additive that has about 21000 ppm zinc. After running it 40 miles I pulled a sample and the analysis shows 55 ppm moly, 1939 ppm phosphorus, 2280 ppm zinc, 3649 ppm calcium, 276 ppm magnesium, and 12.2 TBN. Can you say "Super HDMO!"

1990 E350 motorhome 7.5L V8: 6.5 quarts Maxlife 10w30 and 10 oz SLOB.

1997 Class A motorhome, Ford 7.5L V8: 4 quarts Citgo Ultralife 10w30, 2 quarts Redline 10w30, and 3 oz of the PCMO additive mentioned above.

Interesting to read this entire thread.

30wt oils are by far and away the most popular choice for our vehicles here.

20wt oils are the second favorite choice.

40wts are in use by a handful of folks.

50wts, outside of motorcyles, are only in 3 cars in this topic thread! (and mine is one of them!)

Looks like the trend is thinner as fewer & fewer are using thicker oils, as this topic thread proves.

Why? Because I still have one left.

Btw, I'm surprised that Firestone installed 5w30 in your Accord. Surprised that they weren't worried about liability.
