And, I should've said FRAM oil filters only, but still, that isn't true.

I was a bit surprised also, but who knows, it might be the only thing programmed into the computer to chose from. And maybe they put in 5W-20. I have found over the years that not asking to many questions and being firm but polite on what you want, when you want it, gets you better overall service It doesn't matter much to me, since it is a synthetic blend. Many Honda dealers still use bulk 5W/30 for the standard oil change.

1993 Chevy Lumina car Valvoline 10-30 Synthetic + Wal-Mart filter

1993 Buick Park Avenue Supercharged: Valvoline 10-30 with Wal-Mart filter

1996 Buick Park Avenue: Amsoil 10-40 XL with a Mobil 1 oil filter (although NOT the one recommended). I used the longer of the type filter. Example: What was called for was a short small filter. What I used was about 2 1/2 inches longer, just same thread diam. and same gasket placement/dimensions. All things being the same, just a longer filter than OEM.

Three (Honda, Generac, B&S) 4-stroke air-cooled gas engines: Chevron SAE 30 and Wix filters (where there is a filter).

VSOT, 1.5 OZ/qt.

Purolator Plus L24458 O'Sized Filter.

This should hold me for a 10K OCI, and then I dig into my stash of GC 0W-30 for the winter.

Nice, huh?
