What type of oil should i use?

You want a 40 grade in hotter temps. I didn't realize that L.A. even had winter. What, does it get down to 50 deg. F?

Here are some readily available oils you can try:

Mobil 1 5w40 TDT, Shell Rotella T6 5w40, Mobil 1 0w40, Mobil 1 10w30 EP, Castrol syntec 0w30 (from autozone look for made in germany on the back), Syntec 5w40 or Castrol edge 10w30 (on rebate and sale at advanced auto). These are just a few that are easy to find and/or always on sale.
