What to use to remove glue/adhesive from car paint?

For a small job I have used Goo-gone, WD40 , 3M spray, but for the big jobs you can buy a rubber wheel attachment for your drill and it works. I once was purchasing used retired Police cars and had to remove the lettering. That first one took me 30 hours and then I found the rubber adhesive remover wheel...

This stuff works great. Removes all kinds of adhesive without affecting your paint.

Gasoline works for me. After that's been done, I use water & dawn dish detergent to get the gas residue off.

WD-40 works great. There are others products that work also, like Goo Gone, or that 3M adhesive remover, but WD-40 has wider usage, and most people have some.

The internet seems to agree with me about goof off. Try using Google.
Goo gone on the other hand, is citrus based and paint safe.
Well , I used Goof Off in three different places on my truck with NO damage to the paint . But if you want to believe the Internet that's fine by me . I don't need Google when I " Been there , done that " .

I used Goof Off to remove new clear coat overspray that was sprayed over " old" paint. Didn't damage the old paint at all, but I did remove the Goof Off residue quickly, before it started eating the old paint.
