What to do in 20 hour flight

WALK !!!
If you do nothing else - walk. Stand up. Move. Walk to the restroom.

You don't want a blood clot in your legs. Not only can it kill you - when it does, it will do it a day or two after the trip, so the airline will be off the hook.

Walk.

Might add eye covers to your list. Definitely helps with sleep when a neighbor is watching videos.

One thing I liked about Virgin Atlantic is that the seatback displays had privacy screens on them, which sharply limited the off angle light bleed.

Going to Asia next month . last time i went was almost 30 years ago. This was before the internet and common computers and tablets . Flying United. So what do folks do on these long flights these days . is there free internet ? Just keep watching the movies? Going to be a fun and interesting trip
Well, when working I usually read a book because we don't have anything to do for hours on end. When not I start drinking and watching movies then fall asleep for a long time.

My real advice for you as this. I have about 13,000hrs of flight time in the cockpit and two weeks ago actually delivered a private jet to Nigeria then spent another 18hrs coming back. Take a bottle of water and drink from it purposefully. You'll be a quart low when you land just from how much you breath out. Also stand up and spend 5 - 10 min in the middle doing stretches. Just do dead hangs and let your legs stretch out. It's a MASSIVE benefit. On top of that, again, drink a few wines or whiskeys and go night night.

So as an airline captain in the past before going corporate I can tell you 100% a person never dies in the air. It's not possible. If you lose your head and bleed everywhere you still didn't die in flight. You technically can't die until a medical professional has declared you dead. You wouldn't BELIEVE the paperwork and reports associate with me saying someone died on our flight so it was literally company policy in our SOPs that it wasn't possible.

The worst part is if someone did and they go and either leave the person in the lav and lock that door or they put them in a seat with blankets on them to make them look like they're sleeping.

My advice is take an asprin on a long flight or a bourbon or two. Also hydrate.
