I'll start with most of the plastic air dam radiator stuff on my saturns. 95% of the cars around here are missing the "curb dragger" 2 inch flap that hangs down to force wind in a different direction. I'm also missing this wider thing under the radiator that serves to scrape knuckles while trying to operate the petcock. Hey if I get real lucky I'll get coolant on that cut!

Don't drive in death valley, so don't need ultimate ram-air. Might be a slight MPG loss, fractions of fractions, not noticed.

None of this bothers me. Wife's car is short a tire valve cap and this DOES bother me somehow. Hate seeing green tarnished corroded valve stems.

My van is missing the compressor to the rear air shocks. Shocks went out and were bleeding oil so I put cheap monroes in... then the compressor bracket rusted out and I yanked it off with my bare hands in a truck stop parking lot. Added lightening!

Note the subtle difference between "broken-in-place" and "missing"... if your AC is dead, it's broken. If you yank the heavy stuff, find a shorter belt, now it's properly missing.

Every VW I sell has a box of random nuts, bolts, brackets, and plastic pieces that comes with it.

Come to think of it - so has every VW I've purchased.

^ haha this box came with my mercedes 240d... maybe it's a german thing!

PS the contents of that box were all that was needed to get the e-brake up and running again.

I won't bore you with details, but there are a lot of parts and systems I'm not fixing on my 95 Mercedes E320. They are all related to electricals/electronic.

My windshield broke years back and the crack is a semi-circle from the middle of the bottom of the windshield to the middle of the passenger side. Not near my vision.

I just don't feel like shelling the dough out to replace. I can see fine. If I get cited for it, I get cited for it. Maybe I'll fix it then. Maybe...

The pressure control solenoid in the Buick is broken, giving me harder shifts. It's behind the side pan on the transmission that's a pain to remove without other major surgery on the car. So I threw a shift kit into the transmission and called it good.

The new throttle position sensor is also erratic. That's getting replaced shortly.

Nothing on the Fit, yet! (knocks on wood)

Various fasteners that hold on the plastic underneath the engine in my wife's Impala. I think I have two out of about eight fasteners still there--just enough to hold the plastic on, but not too bad when I have to take it off to work on something. There are various places on all my cars where I admit to not replacing all the fasteners when fewer will do the job. I think the air cleaner box on my car is basically free floating at the moment, but it can't go anywhere as long as the hood is closed.

The 3 lower front bumper clips on my Jeep have been replaced with zip ties, after I broke them off-road. The only other thing is the ripped rubber drip tray that sits under the engine, which is pretty torn up, and will probably get removed soon.

Saturn:

1) rear calipers-- parking brake hardware is screwy
2) p/s pump
3) lower dogbone mount
4) a coolant leak that results in a pint of cooling loss every 2 months that I still cannot locate after rebuilding the cooling system.

Van:

1) valve cover gasket
2) passenger sliding door lock
3) driver side window weatherstripping
4) some motor mount

Nissan: nothing yet

Not looking for a list of what's broken/underfunctioning... a list of what is entirely not there.

The plastic cover under the engine of my Z4 went missing after I drove at high speed after it was damaged while parking. I've been too lazy to get the part numbers to replace all the missing pieces (so far I've only replaced the air temperature sensor).

My 1989 Volvo 740 turbo wagon has a heap of interior plastic parts that break when looked at incorrectly. I've been driving with a broken tail light for >6yrs, because I refuse to pay $100 (plus 12% tax) for a used one.

But will replace soon from fcpgroton.com.

I don't have anything missing, but about 4 years ago I cut a big hole in the passenger side front kick panel to try a different speaker location. Speaker quickly moved back, hole has remained.

Every once and a while I look for one on E-bay

I used to have a heavy, metal skid plate underneath the gas tank on my Explorer. One of the brackets rusted away so the thing was barely hanging on with three bolts. I never off-road or anything that would warrant me to keep it so I unbolted it and threw it away.

I don't have a radio antenna on my Mazda3. The auto body shop that fixed my t-bone damage broke the base. They got me a new OEM base and antenna but I didn't want them touching my car again so I just took the parts. I don't feel like pulling out the headliner just to replace it, so I filled it in with black silicone to seal it up. It works okay in the city most of the time. I don't listen to the radio anyway so I don't really care about it. It doesn't look much different than a lot of the smaller antenna things on some new cars.

To be honest I wish the neon was missing more stuff.
I removed the rear rubber seal under the back of the hood to increase air flow which dropped intake air temps 30F.
I've taken off the easily accessible AC parts.
I don't bother to put on my hub caps anymore, I think some people give me more space in traffic now.
Otherwise everything else seems to be firmly attached and necessary to get to work.

Missing or too lazy to replace?

Nothing.

If something needs repaired or replaced it gets repaired or replaced as quickly as possible. That goes for the vehicles, lawn equipment, tractors, house, everything.

I did notice the connection between 2 of my garden hoses was leaking-I noticed it on Wednesday. I picked up some new washers and it's on my list to do tomorrow.
