Info: 2004 sentra SE-R Spec-V
Miles: 105k, it has perfect compression and vacuum, so seems to be like new
Engine: QR25, timing chain, nothing balancing it, no counterweights, no balance shafts, stiff mounts
Drive: sometime sees commutes of 9 to 40 miles, no traffic, but it's also a heavily modified track toy, also sees rally-ing.
Temperatures: it sees between 25*F to 95*F
-exhaust is straight-piped, so no cat to worry about, I can use all the zinc and phosporus in the world.

I personally wouldn't use oil ON it, I'd put oil IN it...

(I know... just tell me to shut up and go away....)

I should probably add that I have used (mostly for testing) GC, PP5w30, and edge 0w20 during the winter. They all seemed alright but it always warmed up faster with the edge.

Not really, every 3k miles it burns maybe 200mL, definitely less than every other QR25 I've seen

Any aversion to using GC all year? It's a good oil.

Must never have seen very many. I've personally owned them as have my sons and none of them use any make-up oil between oil changes. 3000 to 7500 mile intervals.

It would be rare not to.

My bad, it's only half counterweighted.
