What oil to use with Auto-RX?

I plan on running Auto-RX in my truck I was wondering what oil would be best to run it with?

I could tell you to check out the arx site, but I will tell you here on this Forum.

I would use the cheapest dino oil you can get your hands on, like Wal-Mart Super Tech Dino Oil.

I try to find a 10W30 diesel oil and run that.

Agreed, use an inexpensive dino. Super Tech is a decent low priced oil. I've ran it 5k miles without ARX.

How about some Castrol GTX 5W-30? Unless it gets below -15F there very often, in which case I'd go with Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 ($15 rebate right now) and run it at least 5,000 miles on the clean phase.

GTX sounds good Im actually running Edge right now. and it usally only gets down to the mid 20sF in the dead of winter

Heck, I'd run the GTX for 5,000 miles with the Auto RX, too.

after using Auto RX and after the rinse. will GTX 5w30 and a AC Delco filter keep the engine clean even with 3000-5000mi OCI

GTX has quite a bit of detergent in it, but if you add 3-4oz of Auto RX as a maintenance dose, 5,000 should be easy.

Yes.

If your OCI is 3,000 miles with GTX: no maintenance dose.
If your OCI is 5,000 miles with GTX: then run 3 ounces of Auto-Rx as a maintenance dose.
