If anyone is interested in books about large diesel engines and their auxiliary systems I can recommend "Diesel Engines" vol 1 & 2 which is written by a Dutchman named Kees Kuiken.
These books is written in simple English with a very limited amount of fancy words. The books also contain a lot of nice pictures which I like (yes, I'm good at reading pictures - better than reading English
