The Jeep uses about 1/3 - 1/2 a quart in 6k, and takes about 5 quarts at change time. So no more than 5.5 quarts per 6k miles.

Currently .0005 qts over last 4k miles in my 78 Granada. Most of that was prior to my replacement of a leaking gasket 1k ago.

Yes he did, when quoting his own statistics. But later on he said "oil consumption" which, according to what I've read on here, means oil that is used/burned and has to be refilled to keep the proper amount in the engine. I'm not a lawyer so decline to argue....I'll only say that:

GC: same, since it's a 6 qt sump.

My '02 Toyota Highlander uses about a quart every 2000 miles around town, but a quart every 200 miles or so on the interstate. So... given the driving I do, I have to add an extra three quarts every OCI, for a total of 8 quarts/3k miles, or .0027 quarts/mile. Hope I did that math right
I don't regularly check the oil levels in the 4 cars in the family fleet so it's hard to say how many miles they go until they require a quart top off.
The Legend does have an oil level monitor that gives an alert when the crankcase is a quart low. The alert comes on like clockwork every 4500 miles or so. This is on an engine with +400k miles with 15w40 Delo in it.

Oil burning decreased significantly after changing several seals & sucking STP red bottle (8 oz) via the throttle body vacuum line & just fully synthetyc Mobil 1 'Peak Life' 5W50 in use; these seals are changed:
1. Turbo air intake pipe O-ring (and the clamp was loosen).
2. TB air intake O-ring
3. Turbo by-pass tube O-ring
4. TB housing O-ring (between TB and the intake manifold)
5. Oil delivery tube O-ring
6. PCV Nipple O-ring
I was following troubleshooting guide by Garret: the vacuum system must be 'leak-free' + turbo air intake + TB seals must be in good shape.
Before: 1 quart per 700 miles.
After: 1 quart per 3281 miles.

My E430 capacity is 8.5 quarts but I filled with 8 quarts without any top off, OCI is 12-13k miles so the per miles oil usage is 0.00067 qt. 12000/8 = 1500 miles per quart, with this distance of 1500 miles it uses 68 gallons of gas. Cost of gasoline is about 50 times the cost of oil.
The LS400 capacity is 5 quarts, 1 quart for top off and OCI is 12-14k miles, per miles usage is 0.00050 qt.
S2000 OCI is 6k miles with 5 quarts and no top off, usage is 0.0010 qt per miles.

Lately 1qt 4000 miles, on 2001 manufactured 1zz-fe (the burner). Hoping to reduce this further with Kreen at the tail end of the current OCI.
4k so far on QS Defy and an oversized AC-Delco (classic design, bought in bulk from rockauto) without a drop of consumption.
