I had a 4 door Galaxie with a 352 4bbl. Not quite the screamer the 390 would have been. Lake pipes were a factory option on the 2 door w/390.
Otherwise, I always thought that the Reliant with the 2.5 turbo was about as "sleeper" as you could get. Totally humdrum generic body with a fairly potent mill under the hood. There are others ..but that sorta always struck me as a good difference between appearance and performance.

my Chrysler sedan is generally underestimated by anyone.
Last time in Bradenton at the strip I had a younger guy say something about an 'old mans car', he had a 70 GTO 455.
I then proceeded to hand him his [censored]!
Say what you want, the good old days are here and now when a 4 door luxo sedan can cut high 12's all day long in stock trim. My 70 454 Chevelle could only run 13.36.

I'd have to go with either a Marauder, or a 5.9 Grand Cherokee (6.8 0-60 stock, with plenty of room for mods, makes a statement when you step on it).
The 5.9 Grand Cherokee isn't all that fast on the strip in stock form, however. 1/4 mile is 15.2 seconds. It's a force to be reckoned with off the line, however (especially 0-35). 0-30 time is 2.1 seconds, 3.3 0-40. Nail it from a stop, and it'll chirp the tires then peg you in the seat and off we go!

the buick t type like you said most of the young guys just have no clue...whats even better is take the t type emblems off and put the ones that say regal and then embarrass all the rice burners in front of their girl friends!

I like the Omni GLH, I had one. Awesome little car. Went like snot and with small modifications, it was stupid...for an Omni.
I like my Regal GS too. Smaller pulley, exhuast, tune have me knocking right on the door to 13's.

Here's one more with the Series II L67: Buick Park Avenue Ultra. It looks like a grandpa car like the regular Park Aves. Except it's supercharged and handles well for something as long as it is. Plus the engine bay is large enough for easily installing lots of little mods like rockers or a cam, headers, and a smaller pulley. After all that, it'll ride like a firm couch and get ~30 mpg highway.

I think my '06 GTO without the spoiler installed is a great sleeper. Bland styling, doesn't attract attention at all...but has the goods.

I like the Dodge Spirit R/T and Galant VR4...
Although probably not a sleeper, my grandma used to have a late 80's Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais with the Quad-4 engine. Luckily the engine NVH was enough to keep you from dozing off from the bland styling and burgundy velvet seats.

Mid '80s Dodge Omni GLH. The Omni was a piece of junk generally, but with the shelby turbo engine in it, I'm sure it surprised a few people.
