Corned beef hash with grits. Goes real well together. Brown the hash, preferably getting crisp; mix in with the grits once on the plate.
Biscuits with sausage gravy is good too, but I don't have that real often. Oddly enough, the best ones I've had (been a while) was in NH; I didn't care for the biscuits and gravy I got while in KY at Cracker Barrel.
A good homemade potatoe hash, fried up, is always good. Wife makes a good one; potatoe shredded up, pan fried in oil, with salt of course. The homefries are ok at the diners, but nothing so far touches what my wife can make.
Glad my doctor doesn't read this forum... As far as he's concerned it's just grapenuts for breakfast. [Actually I like basic cereal for breakfast, as long as it's not sugary. Works well for quick breakfast. The stuff above is strictly Sat/Sun morning stuff.]
