Also, the milk it leaves at the end is amazing.

Discussion over. :-)

I have lots of cereals I love, but I really love the simple ones.
Rice Krispies, Cheerios, Special K, Crispix.

Cinnamon toast crunch used to be one of my favorites but I stopped eating it because it is loaded with sugar.

Grits casserole with a side of corned beef hash and two eggs over medium.

/Grits qualifies as breakfast cereal.

Same. It's still delicious though.

I've since transitioned to Multi-Grain Cheerios. They're mildly sweet and far healthier than the other garbage out there.

That sounds good, but the grits in NJ just arent as good as those I've had in SC, GA, or AL. Got a recommendation?

My favorite is the store brand natural granola sold at shop rite. It's a little sweet so I cut it with grape nuts, and it tends to be more filling than other cereal.

But I'm a yogurt eater. We make our own plain organic.

Those are delicious too! I don't have any in my cupboard right now but I definitely approve of multigrain cheerios.

I can't give you a recommendation, no. I can't cook (or do much of anything) in the morning so I never learned to make grits. It's a special treat for me so maybe once every few months I'll go to Shut Up & Eat. Every few years I'll go to SC, but down there I'll go for grits with butter instead of casserole and skip the corned beef hash in favour of crispy bacon.

Corned beef hash with grits. Goes real well together. Brown the hash, preferably getting crisp; mix in with the grits once on the plate.

Biscuits with sausage gravy is good too, but I don't have that real often. Oddly enough, the best ones I've had (been a while) was in NH; I didn't care for the biscuits and gravy I got while in KY at Cracker Barrel.

A good homemade potatoe hash, fried up, is always good. Wife makes a good one; potatoe shredded up, pan fried in oil, with salt of course. The homefries are ok at the diners, but nothing so far touches what my wife can make.

Glad my doctor doesn't read this forum... As far as he's concerned it's just grapenuts for breakfast. [Actually I like basic cereal for breakfast, as long as it's not sugary. Works well for quick breakfast. The stuff above is strictly Sat/Sun morning stuff.]

Oatmeal made from steel-cut oats with some walnuts thrown in, with a tablespoon or two of blueberry yogurt. I make enough for 2 breakfasts, and heat it up in the microwave.

I'd eat more grits, but they don't taste as good...

Forgot about steel-cut oats. Real good. We (and by that I mean my wife) will make enough for 3-4 mornings, at night, since it takes so long. Good breakfast for winters. I like it with brown sugar--except when we have maple syrup sugar to use.

Every morning I eat a bowl of corn flakes soaked in orange juice followed by a bowl of Cherrios soaked in fruit punch. I do eat eggs but usually not for breakfast but as a course of dinner. My favorite eggs are scrambled with ketchup squirted in before they cook.

Breakfast?

Only time I eat cereals is @ midnight. That too Honey bunches of oat with few cinnamon toast crunch thrown in !!

Frosted bite-size shredded wheat with 1% milk. Cheap and filling. It also sticks around until mid-morning coffee break time, which is longer than other cereals leave me full for.

Me without some sort of breakfast = ogre. Me with breakfast = much better mood.

Either Frosted Mini Wheats or Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds are my favorite cereals.

Favorite breakfast? Now, that's another matter altogether!

Crisp bacon
Hash Browns
Eggs scrambled or over medium
Did I mention bacon?
Sausage
COFFEE!
Not sure if I mentioned BACON!
Sausage gravy over......well, anything.

Do NOT let me near a decent breakfast buffet!
