In your opinion, what is the country with the best breakfast cuisine?

Hard to beat Scandinavian buffet breakfasts (hotels in Finland and Norway at least). There is enough very high quality food on their buffet tables to keep you going until evening. Numerous kinds of real bread (none of your wimpy stuff there), many kinds of cheese, sliced meat, fish, fruit, juice, really good coffee, etc. They're lavish. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

I've traveled quite a bit and have never had a breakfast anywhere else that can compare. Haven't been to Turkey though, not yet.

My breakfast in the literal meaning of the word regardless of time of day consists most of the time of 2/3 plant matter and fungus and 1/3 animal protein by volume. The same can be said for my other meal. All the "normal" stuff is an occasional thing. So far it's been working for me.

My friend who's lived in Sweden for many years loves the food there. I do okay there especially because I'm into fishy things but all-over it's not my favorite food. Jag har inte varit i sverige på 10 år. min saab är rostig. Min Saab är rostig.

This. I traveled frequently to Sweden and Denmark. Good bread, good coffee and great overall hotel breakfast buffets in almost every hotel. Coffee was excellent too.
Once had the Julbord on the ferry between Helsingor- Helsingborg. Great experience.

Re Scandinavia and Germany (and other places): Watch all the processed meat products. Sausages, etc.
I LOVED that Swedish grocery stores had a dozen DIFFERENT hot grain cereals to choose from.

Also, the "caviar in a tube" they add to hard boiled eggs is more than slightly processed. Said caviar is available in Ikea stores' food section.
It's the only way I can get an otherwise plain hard-boiled egg down my neck.

That stuff is only more finely shredded before being shaped into biscuits! People used to get a lot more protein from eating grain products than they do now. The bug content has gone down over time. The current FDA standard allows, for example, for no more than 75 bug fragments in 50 grams of flour. Eat up, chirpie birdy.

Speaking of bug content in food, if you were a manufacturer would you shoot for maximum bug content to maximize product quantity and profits or would you aim for the lowest possible bug content for less product and thus less profits? I have yet to see any product claiming "Now with 1/3 fewer bugs."

Same with dolphin free tuna

I would quietly increase my protein content, add more bugs and then write in huge letters "KETO"

In order for a food to qualify as "keto" it must contain a lot of fat. Insects are mostly lean. May I suggest mealworms, grasshoppers, and cockroaches as primary ingredient in Pablo's Crunchy Cooties?

I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at my hotel in France. There was a wide variety of meats, eggs, pastries, cheeses, fruits and coffees. It was impossible to eat each of everything. And all very fresh. Better than anything stateside. It made for a great start of the day.

Hummm...

For the price, the USA is hard to beat.

Favorite would be Denmark - lots of fresh fruit, whole grains, and of course smoked salmon.
England wasn't bad - rich like the USA, but a pit higher price, and not as many eggs
Germany - meh, coffee and a danish ;-)
China - all kinds of random stuff...I got full each morning, but didn't know what I was eating most of the time.
Mexico - CHEAP - as long as you like eggs, who knows what kind of sausage, and hot sauce
Canada - coffee and muffins...didn't find much for breakfast up there
Oh yeah, Italy wasn't bad either...but it was mostly cold (GREAT coffee)

I had a breakfast in Canada years ago. Ordered the Canadian bacon. The waitress warned me that Canadian bacon in Canada was not like Canadian bacon in the USA. She was correct. It was horrible.
