The cheapest SAE 0w20, API SM, ILSAC GF-4 qualified oil that I can find. Why? I'm not hung up on oil brands and will switch from change to change. I go for a high quality specification that eliminates the riff raff and buy on price.

Chevron 5w-20 why? It's always on sale, I've never paid more than $1.09/quart, most of the time .89/quart, and if your a rebate freak you can get it for .59/quart after rebates.

Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 #2
Mobil 1 5W-20 #3
Motorcraft 5W-20 #4
Although I haven't tried it, based on my great results with Redline in other viscosities and the RL 5W-20 specs.....for hard driving, high heat, heavy loads I expect that Redline 5W-20 would be my #1 choice.

I'd probably use Pennzoil regular or E-M Superflo based on price at 4 to 5K OCI's. If I were looking for extended OCI's I go with Mobil 1, Amsoil or PP. The old Mobil 1 0w20 SL was an excellent oil. I don't know if the newer SM versions are as good.

When I drove my '01 Accord off the lot in Dec 2000, there was no 5w20 available at local autoparts stores. The first change was free at Honda and by the 2nd change, Pennz was the only 5w20 available locally. I used it to 10K and then switched to M1 5w30 for the next 90K. At 100K, my average weekly mileage decreased greatly, so I'm back using Pennz.
Last change I dumped a mixture of the yellow (5w20) and platinum (10w30) bottles at a 2to1 mixture (4.5qt sump). This is my High-Mileage, Home Depot brew. I believe this calculates to an 8.9cst blend at 100C, so it's still a 20W. I had it in my stash, so I just had to try it. LOL
I'm currently at 165K+, so my 4banger is just about broken in. :^)

^ Yes, my autotrans was replaced with a Honda Reman at 112K. This despite frequent drain/refills (15K-20K) with Z1 since new. Currently over 50K with the new one and alls well...so far. I'm draining/filling even more frequently with this one (7.5K-10K). I just hope they did the remans with better material than the original, but I remain skeptical.
The only 20 weight I've used is Havoline.

Mobil Clean 5000 5w-20 (G-III and Boron)
Durablend 5w-20 (Great UOAs)
