It’s a tie for me:

Alex Anwandter- a gay Chilean singer in a bar in Austin. Great show.
Five Iron frenzy with MXPX - brings back my high school years
Die Antwoord- really weird South African rap group.
The blow in Austin- just a really fun show.

Badlands at the Center Stage Theater in Atlanta in 1989. They blew the roof off the place that night. RIP Ray Gillen..

Def Leppard with Jon Butcher Axis at the Chattanooga UTC Roundhouse Arena in '83 was a great show too, and one of the loudest concerts I ever saw. RIP Steve Clark.

Pure Prairie League at a historic lodge in Steelville, MO in 2013. Really cool venue that was packed at about 150 people, that I also saw Poco, Marshall Tucker Band, Three Dog Night, and a couple others at - but PPL's performance was just spot on, clean and true to their recordings, and not crazy loud (Marshall Tucker) or wild. I liked PPL before then, but it makes the songs all the better to listen to them after that show.

Bruce in 1976 Dallas
Early in his career when he had his edge and chip on his shoulder.
We were at the Convention Center but for some reason had to move next door to the smaller theater.
This delayed the show and the crowd was not happy.
Bruce came out and quieted us down, apologized, and promised a longer show.
Played for over 4 hrs.
Great show and artist.

Alison Krauss and Union Station at the Orpheum in Omaha about 6 years. No lights or dancing or distractions, just world class playing and singing. Styx Grand Illusion tour in 77 was fun and I saw Queen in KC in 79? It was the Fat Bottom Girls tour.

I'm not much of a concert-goer since I 1) don't like live music, and 2) don't like crowds. That said, I have seen a few memorable shows worth mentioning.

We saw the Rolling Stones at old Shea Stadium during their Steel Wheels tour in '89 and I remember them sounding great and putting on quite a show.

We saw Metallica in 2004 for their Madly in Anger tour, but they were a big letdown since Godsmack opened for them and blew them out of the water. Their sound, their energy, everything Godsmack performed was amazingly, blatantly superior to what Metallica did. Their sound setup was terrible on top of the fact that Metallica was not even close to being on their A game. It was pretty disappointing and I'm sure Godsmack made a bunch of new fans that night.

Rush put on a great show that same year for their R30 tour at an outdoor venue. It was hard to believe that wall of sound could come from just three guys. That was probably my 'best' concert since the location was nearby, the weather was great, parking (and leaving) was easy and we had great seats.

All the shows I’ve seen were great!!

The Turtles
Grass Roots
Buckinghams
Gary Lewis and the Playboys
Motley Crue
Kenny and the Kasuals
Me and My Monkey
Abbey Road
Ray Wylie Hubbard

The Who at Madison Square Garden is 1975 or 76 (not sure)
The Rolling Stones at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia in Sept. 1981
The Eagles at Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City NJ in 1975 or 76.

I wouldn't pay the exorbitant ticket prices that they charge today nor do I want to listen to their politics either (like Springsteen)....I'm done with them....same as the NFL.....

What a mix! From watching Motley Crue concerts on Youtube I think the show is in the audience behaviors.....lol

Rush. Pick a tour. They were always great. Never disappointed. Genuinely nice guys who care about their fans and want to give each one a good experience.

If I had to pick one concert, I would say it was my first metal show back in 2007. Suicide Silence, August Burns Red, Darkest Hour, and Unearth. I went to the show to see Darkest Hour; I wasn't too familiar with the other bands at the time. I am now a huge fan of all of those bands because of that show and I've seen them all live a few times since then.

Also Death Cab For Cutie playing with the Magik Magik Orchestra was amazing.

And my first real date with my wife we saw Circa Survive live and they were very good.

I've been to many concerts, but those are the ones that stick out.

Second best was Rammstein in Toronto. Decent seats, nowhere near as tight quarters (Air Canada Centre) however their shows are like a theatre production.

Lucky man!! Two performers I have yet to see but want to very badly!!!

My favorite so far has been In this Moment/Hellyea at a very small venue in Inwood WV called Shiley Acres, both bands crowd surfed with us and I was close enough to the stage to see the sweat dripping from Maria Brink!

I have seen more than a few over the years...all rock and roll type. The best concert...nay, but a symphony was tops for me...

Handel: Messiah

Josh Turner, 2015, Atlanta Botanical Gardens

2300 people. Outside. No crowds, no high immature morons, no idiots.

Almost like being in your backyard.

Probably Rush in 1986 or 87 cant remember the exact year . They played with Fastway in Madison Square Garden .
Some others were Robert Plant with end of show jam along with Jimmy Page, and Monsters of Rock show featuring a bunch of groups including The Scorpions and Metallica .
