What is good PEA based cleaner for 2023.

I buy the Amsoil stuff up here in Canada.

I have given up trying to find gas stations that sell top tier fuel ( I don't have the patience for Costco line ups )

When in the U.S on a road trip, I buy some Redline and Gummout just for fun.

Looks like based on the Canadian MSDS for gumout AIO that it's only 3-7% Polyether amine. If that's actually true then the motomaster branded stuff is higher. However I looked up some other ones including Amsoil and it looks like they aren't all specifically listing the p.e.a.

Costco no longer appears on the Top Tier station finder, only Shell. It's hard to believe that only Shell is part of the program with all the major fuel retailers in the GTA. On the Costco website it still promotes the fuel as being Top Tier though.

I guess I missed the memo that esso is no top tier anymore. I've been using basically nothing but esso in my truck because of a company supplied gas card. But they switched cards and now I can go anywhere so I guess shell it is.

As for Gumout, just go to their web site and look up SDS per product, they are different for US and Canadian cleaners except one iirc. Some have no PEA at all.
Also, AFAIK, all brand name gas in Canada is Top Tier, if I fill up in Canada I get either Petro Canada gas or Chevron. I do fill up at Safeway in US most times thou due to lower gas price saving C$20-25 on a tank, 4 times a month.

Recently used Gumout Regane Complete 6oz (SKU 800001743) and couldn't believe the difference it made. We do a 100 mile road trip regularly and the car was struggling to pass at highway speeds the last time. This time, in very similar conditions with no other changes other than adding Gumout to a half tank before leaving, and the car is hauling ass even at 100mph.

We always fill with top tier 87. The SDS for the Gumout is a bit confusing as it lists what I think is PEA twice with different concentrations:

15-40% Poly[oxy(1,2-propanediyl)],.alpha.-(3-aminopropyl)-.omega.-hydroxy-, C12-15 alkyl ethers
1-5% Poly[oxy(1,2-propanediyl)].alpha.-propyl-.omega.-hydroxy-C12-15 alkyl ethers

They make a larger bottle for the parts stores that is diluted, so this covers them both.
The 6oz bottle I believe is in the upper range 25-30%.

I’m sold on Gumout Regane, I drive a 1990 Toyota 4x4 during every winter and at the end of last winter I had filled up with the small bottle of regane and at half tank i filled up again and added another bottle of regane. When I came back out to my truck I was leaking antifreeze. This was the very end of winter so I drove it home and it sat until just a month ago. I replaced the radiator then on the first test drive a fuel line busted so I had to try and fix that. Well the original fuel pump assembly lines that came out of the top of the tank were so rusty that one just broke off so I had to remove the tank. The lines were so brittle and rusted I thought the inside would look terrible. When I pulled that assembly out everything inside was unbelievably clean, even the pump pickup screen. I couldn’t believe how clean everything was and so I figured it had to be the gumout I had used. This 1990 ooriginal fuel pump looks just like it would if I had pulled it out back in 1990.
That’s stuff is awesome, I bought a new fuel pump assembly which doesn’t include the pump and just used the old pump and it’s good to go for winter again.

PEA is not a single compound.

Poly - ether - amines

Amines are what do the cleaning, but some amines can be very hard on polymers.

So you really don't want 100% of some types, mixes are good. Amsoil PI has a healthy amount, IMHO.
