Correct.
When a poster alters the text color, it can occasionally cause readability issues, depending upon user settings, default settings, etc.
If you can't read it well, then "highlight" the text with your cursor and it will change in the temporary capture, probably allowing you to read it.

Other than bold and italic, I wish the text formatting options were restricted (or removed). I can't think of many critical reasons why different font sizes or colors are necessary.
I can think of a few reasons ... LoL Don't disable functions like that just because someone doesn't know how to use it.

I don't believe I've ever seen a beneficial use of larger or smaller font sizes. There are some members who seem to always increase the font size for no reason (vision issues ??).

Regarding font color, this can definitely be an issue if someone chooses colors that clash with the site's "style" (theme) options. I don't know if the forum software handles cases like that and based on the OP, it may not (at least not optimally).

^^^ That's their choice. If people don't like how they create a post, then block them ... or should the block function be disabled too? 😄 Some people don't know how to use the quote function, so maybe it should be disabled from the functionality of the board.

Not using something is different than using something in a silly way.
Then put people who post like that on ignore if it bothers you so much. Doesn't make sense to disable board functionality because someone doesn't use it right, or uses it in a way that some people don't like.
