I have a 2010 Nissan Titan 4x4 and want to do a spill and fill without using Nissan atf. Has anyone else tried other atf's in their Titans and had success. Nissan atf is too expensive and I like searching for other options.

Matic J is similar to Chevron MD-3 so that's what it gets. 80K miles on my 07 Titan. Change every 18K miles. Takes 3.5 quarts and it's a 19mm drain bolt. Factory says every 36K I believe so I halve it if effort to avoid troubles.

It's not a Honda. You can't really substitute cheaply on those.

We use Valvoline Maxlife on those. We have probably flushed hundreds of G35 transmissions that call for Matic-J, and Maxlife has worked "fine" in all of them.

Eneos might have a suitable substitute. In fact, I'm fairly certain they do. Whoever uses Worldpac in your area might be able to get it. Perhaps Beck-Arnley has a fluid, too.

Used to be available at Costco but no longer so now any old Mercon Dexron 3 will do. Whatever is on sale. For a while I used SuperTech but I can get brand name for nearly the same price if you shop it hard.
