Here is my list of things I wanted to do in 2025 but never got around to

1) Installing induction cooktop that's been in a box in garage for a year

2) Installing some spring loaded hinges in garage door
(In boxe in garage)

3) New windshield washer nozzle in pickup

4) dealing with pickup truck bed, cannot get the drop-in liner off to check for rust and paint bedliner

5) installing a more powerful engine in Toro Timemaster mower. New motor still in a box

6) getting a new puppy (not approved by wife yet)

Back in 2005 when we bought our house, I was in the attic running a new circuit to install plugs in the upstairs bathrooms. I slipped off a joist and put my knee through the drywall ceiling in a dressing room. Mostly just cracked it, not much of a hole. I just haven't gotten around to repairing that yet.

Last week my 17 year old son patched and painted it as a Christmas gift to his mother. Now I have to get going on some other things before he makes me look like a chump! lol

Alot of drywall repairs and finishing in the house, stairs rehab. But she said might as well wait till we move out. Didn't get the Yamaha scooter running right. Was going to start making YouTube videos again but never did.

1. Getting back in shape, back to a proper BMI, and metabolically (blood glucose) after almost a full (2025) year defeating prostate cancer.
Im so excited and motivated.

2. Getting my Harley Road King back in shape after sitting most of the year, transmission oil, primary oil, clutch adjustment and brake fluid flush. Wax and wash too.

3. Waxing my SUV and wife's new Equinox

Getting a girlfriend. Hoping that will happen in 2026. It sucks being single lol. Also getting myself out of debt is my biggest thing I’m disappointed I didn’t do. By debt I mean credit cards so that way I just have to worry about paying on my car. Right now my credit card debt is $6,200 so hopefully 2026 is the year it all goes away and I’ll keep the cards for emergency but not use them stupidly like I did. I’ve had several instances where something came up and I needed money for it and didn’t have it so I had to borrow where if I had a card available I could of used it till I got paid.

I had a modest list of things to do this year. Got it all done except re-painting the entry way and cleaning mold out of the washer.

I have a new view in life.

I don’t look too far forward and never back more than a week. I do save 7% Roth 401k matched by employer as only future . Otherwise live , love and enjoy each day .

I did everything for 2025 because I don’t look far ahead.

In 2026 I will need to start taking an RMD from my 401K rolled over to IRA. But I don't need the cash. So will probably take a QCD for church and then less RMD.

It's kind of amazing how low your expenses can be if house is paid for along with vehicles and low property taxes & insurance. Like $800 a month and then food and gas/diesel.
