what do you guys think of MOTUL

Nothing special IMO, it's decent oil. Check my UOA for info on it, it's 229.5 and it works.

Edit: Thought I'd mention 33 dollars is CHEAP. I have 20-25 liters and I paid nearly 45-50 for each 5 liter container.

Highly regarded here too, but except the 300V line, nothing special IMO compared to equivalent products.

I prefered the X-Max 0W40 over the X-Cess 5W40 in the Smart (Mitsubishi 4A91 engine), but haven't done any comparative uoa, so that's just my feeling.

I like their gear oil range too

Low saps version is X-clean...

Since you are american... and you have sulphur in gasoline... It is better for your car to use full saps oil...

I read on here that there isn't much Sulphur in US fuels anymore, though there are some States with stricter requirements than others.

It's a myth some Eurotards won't let go of...

Most refiners don't even come close to the maximum cap and with significantly reduce the content next year...

Sulpher Content of US fuels

In any case, the body of evidence via UOA's here shows it has little impact overall on OCI's...

"Eurotards" lol

No offense intended, just some keep arguing the baseless "our petrol is better" argument. There's no significant difference shown in UOA's...

Hmmm, M1 0W40 TBN dropping from 11.8 to 2.7 in 5K is a myth? Since you know those UOA in UOA section, you can easily dig out mine and see it, and that 80% of HWY driving. Now, problem is not going to have 30 year old engine design from GM that is sold as "import from Detroit," but actually cars that are build with technology from 21st century have issues with the U.S. gasoline.
But yes, I forgot that XOM, Chevron, Shell, BP, Marathon etc. always had first customer in their mind not profit. Probably that is why API is fighting to tooth and nail not to implement 10ppm at all or at least postpone until 2020. Probably because, hey, they are already doing it.
