remember, there's always earth911.org to find the nearest recycler for oil and other items.

That is a good idea. I wonder if a community does something like this does a recycler pay for the used oil or does the community have to pay a recycler to take it away?

A shop I used to work for uses a oil burning heater and they always burn more waste oil than they make so they are happy to take my waste oil.
It always comes out clean, so I drain it back into a jug.
Then I either use it for my lawnmower, or my friends take it for top-offs on their cars

I just take it to autozone, they have a big metal tank that you pour you're oil into.

Lol! "Dispose of the oil in a proper manner" as he's pouring it down the sink. I love it.
