Funny that we buy set after set of 4 Michelin LTX MS2's (now called Defenders) and have never had this issue. Both LT and E types. And of course the PSS's I use on my sig car are wicked good, absolutely tops in their class.
To paraphrase: "I guess the Micheline Hate-fest continues"!
I firmly believe EVERY tire mfgr makes a few dawgs, but in certain types like these and other tires Michelin offers a great deal IMO...
Example here-
Not Michelin !!! I now have to replace four tires on my truck (Michelin AT2) because the cracking of the rubber is so severe that I will fail a DOT inspection. There is 7/32 tread left on the tires (54,200 miles) and Michelin is offering a minuscule reimbursement on a $1200.00 tire purchase.
hate -or bad tires?
54,200 miles?
How old are tires?
I used Michelin tires on various vehicles and never, never had any issue with any of them.
My neighbor had on his RAM1500 Michelin for 9 years with no cracking. He replaced them only when we talked about it and I said that considering their age, it is really looking for trouble.
