What are you working on today?

Not me but dropped off the Sportwagen at the shop today. AC condenser sprung a leak...something from road must have hit it. No ability to drain/fill AC...condenser is an easy swap.

3.7 water pump. Replaced primary chain, guides, tensioner and pump. Along with all necessary seals and gaskets.

Doing a full AC system replacement on my cabover and found the friction material had delaminated on my fan clutch so I pulled it for a rebuild also. Updating to the newer serpentine belt bracket which required a new alternator. Installed a new air solenoid for the clutch also. Also started consolidating tools into my new triangle box mounted on my farm truck. This will help tremendously with farm repairs and helps keep everything sorted out. I had stuff scattered everywhere. Still have extra room that I’ll fill piece by piece as I find stuff I want to carry on the truck.

More holes in electrical enclosures.

My non-profit got the Subaru back from paint thus the new fender is no longer black. I just reinstalled four pieces of trim: one at lower windshield/cowl, triangle piece at front of door/bottom of A-pillar, one at rocker, and an odd "felt" liner in engine bay by hood strut.

Yeah it's like closet space: if you have it, you'll fill it!!

For those of use used to electric fans and at most, a belt driven fan with a hydraulic clutch, this pneumatically clutched, three belt setup is an amazing beast.

Been wanting to add a wireless router to the garage as the Xfinity one has weak signal through the brick wall. Since the Cat6 cable going from the living room to my computer in the master went bad, I just ordered a couple new 50' cables and a network switch off Amazon.

I did have to add a receptacle in the basement closet where all this was going to connect. I did that last weekend. Today, I ran both cables and set up the network switch.

Punched a hole through the brick and rim joist and was able to get my cable through. Sealed with foam.

Temporarily set up my router to see if everything would work before I mount it to the ceiling. It's a spare older TPLink I had laying around. It's only 300mbps while I have 1GB internet, but for streaming music and browsing the net on my phone, it's just fine.

And incredibly reliable too, this one had 750,000 miles on it and it’s not uncommon to see one last the life of the truck. A super kit allows you to replace every wear item in it. This particular model used air to lock up and spins freely when no air is supplied, others use air to unlock. Those are more common now. In the event of a failure mine has threaded holes that you can put bolts in to lock it up and get home or to a shop.

Stripped off the Zep yesterday.. Washed the entire RV this morning so it would dry. Couple hours later started reapplying. While it was drying in between layers rotated the Escapes tires and checked it over. I only did two sides and I'm so tired don't feel like for a week!
