Still getting acclimated with our house move. not active when we looked at it before purchase, the crawlspace has become a soupy, wet, soft, steamy, cold, drippy place. Water dripping below all of the AC ducts, wet spots on the wood. I added a fan and started logging humidity numbers and saw zero difference between fan and no fan.
we’re in a bit of a valley and the outside air has been humid. Crawlspace humidity has been constantly above 90%.
I blocked every vent last night with styrofoam. Then hung a dehumidifier. It immediately started producing water. The humidity is down around 10% today after about 24 hours. Still need to get it further.
I realize by sealing all the vents, I get control of the atmosphere but then radon is a thing here. I’ll admit it, called a pro to come see it.
bitog/oil? My truck is filthy, front and back, from all the materials and debris it’s been carrying (“filthy” being relative, I know. It’s probably clean to some). Wants 5/30, gets 10/30, currently M1.
note— the humidity graph was the first hour, and the spike was me going back down to adjust it.
