What are you working on today?

Toyota Tacoma ac lines,
Dodge caravan brake lines,
Nissan Pathfinder sway bar links,
Grand caravan tire rotation,
And to top it off, a homemade slow cooked beef stew.

Camry got front brakes today...

Yup, at only 31K I had to replace them. I'll admit we drive a little aggressive and drive up and down a mountain. While we do drop the transmission a couple gears you inevitably get behind a line of traffic and you're forced to use brakes. Pads had plenty of life in them, but any little bit of heat would give you a terrible shimmy. Rotors were done.

The surprising thing was how rusted the rotors were to the hub. Guess 5+ years of PA winters will do that. Luckily Toyota included a threaded hole to act as a forcing screw. My Random assortment of screws and bolts came in handy again! :ROFLMAO:

Hub was cleaned thoroughly and a liberal amount of anti-seize was applied. There was some buildup under the pad hardware starting to form so that was cleaned as well. More than likely I'll take the rears apart, clean them, and apply lube as well.

Put er' all together nice like.

As you see, plenty of pad left, but I wanted to do it right and do it once.

Took it for a test drive and bedded in the pads. Gonna have to re-learn how to drive this thing! Any decent amount of pedal pressure and it brings it right down! Really liking the Raybestos Element 3 Hybrid pads and Street Performance rotors. The Jeep is going to need rear brakes next Spring so I think I'll use the same pads and the E3 coated rotors.

Nice pics. I’m eyeing that “broken” beer in the background 👍🍺

Right front wheel speed sensor on an 05 Chevy Z71 today. Tomorrow I might be helping a friend replace the oil pump in his 90 Silverado.

My mother had to have that done twice. I can say that it worked. Uncomfortable, but worked. Hope it works out well for her!
I can second that. Had a friend have one blasted several years ago. It passed a lot "easier", if that could ever be applied to passing stones.

Half way through the oil pump job on the 90 Silverado. Pulled a main cap and its terminal. Engine has 373k miles on it and has been run out of oil at least three or four times on the last couple of years. I put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on it after the last incident and confirmed the pressure was as low as it read with the electronic gauge. Engine runs great but has bottom end noise. Since he only uses this truck around his shop and farm were going to stick it back together with the hv oil pump and put some Schaeffer's 50wt in it. When it finally gives out he'll probably rebuild it.
