Yup! At my work if I did that I’d be automatically terminated no questions askedYou would be correct. They terminated him today when he got to work because of the Corvette damage.
Yeah. The insurance estimator came out looked at it. Then the boss said it was a huge amount because of how new it is and how much the parts cost so since it exceeds a certain amount then that counts for termination per company policy. The kid got mad and done donuts in the parking lot before leaving.Yup! At my work if I did that I’d be automatically terminated no questions asked
I’m happy for you Blake. You deserve it. Keep up the good workToday was another productive day. I’m worn out. This is my first break since lunch. I’ve been doing brakes, done one oil change and tire rotation, diagnosed a misfire on a Subaru, gotten yelled at by a customer because I was waiting on parts for his truck and he wanted to get back to West Virginia soon. I told him to take it up with the service advisor. Then I had to help install an engine because one of the express lane techs forgot to put oil in it and didn’t catch it.
Also had a comeback today. It happens though. It was just because of a miscommunication between me and service but no big deal. It’s not like I dropped a Corvette off a Jack or anything. I had just put the wrong oil in a vehicle. They wanted conventional and I put synthetic in so the price was more.
I’m excited because the Snap-on man comes tomorrow and AutoMechanic will be on there spending money because he wants some new tools after a hard first week of work. I’m getting some pliers and a 1/4 flex head ratchet. Mainly getting the pliers because I bent all mine the last few days on some drum brakes. I already ok the purchase with my parents since they are still on my bank account they have say what I can and can’t buy so I’m glad they approved because I deserve some new tools. Last time I bought something off the tool truck without asking my mom called me asking what in the world costed me $140 on a Matco truck lol.
Look you little cry baby get your own checking account like I told you before. @AutoMechanic deserves nothing like those before you. Snowflake boy. Buckle up and work and enjoy it...cause you gots no choice now because it's grow up timeToday was another productive day. I’m worn out. This is my first break since lunch. What a bonehead. He got what he deserved for sticking his nose where it didn't belong. The kid got mad and done donuts in the parking lot before leaving.
Blake, on some things it might be a good idea to shop around. I've had good luck with harbor freight hand tools and those hand tools also have a lifetime warranty with free exchange. Ive saved a lot of money that way. A tool truck payment becomes a burden like any other payment.Today was another productive day. I’m worn out. This is my first break since lunch. Yes some things are a great buy there. I bent my sets of Pittsburgh pliers. The Doyle, Quinn or Icon might do well. My plan is to pay it off when I get my paycheck which will be around $1000 maybe $900 or so with taxes since it’s bi weekly and I’m working everyday except weekends.Blake, on some things it might be a good idea to shop around. Oh yeah I know. And I’ve got lots I’ve been in the industry almost 4 years now. Since I was 16. I’m just trying to get a little bit nicer stuff than I have. I want something like the pliers that’s easy to get warrantied in case they bend like my others did. And the ratchet I want to give it a try. If I don’t like it I’ll sell it to my coworker or something. I buy one or two things then pay them off immediately.Good job Blake! Glad it’s working out for you. +1on buying a bunch of tools. Be conservative, tools will come with time.
