Finished up the brakes on the 69 C10 today. To be picked up tomorrow. Guys supposed to bring me a 1966 mustang to work on towards the end of the week. Tomorrow I'll be doing front brakes on a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD.

Building a 6.0L PSD as a side job. Getting some very high performance parts in this one, huge $. Should be over 600hp. Block going to the machine shop tomorrow. Crank is getting polished as well.

Nice, I love the sound of the 6.0.:) They are so cheap now I'm half tempted to pick one up and swap it into my Excursion.:)

I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I could find one that wasn’t a rot box. They are one of my favorite engines. Love the sound of a straight piped/modded 6.0. They aren’t cheap to “go the distance” though. This build is going to be at least 20K

2011 Honda Pilot, VCM 3.5L, Blown active mounts......What a shocker! Replacing all 4 mounts with OE Honda$$$$$$

My Tech wanted the job because the labor it payed, I advised that he wanted nothing to do with this job. I don't follow service information on these & instead drop the Subframe down just enough to sneak the mounts out.

Got everything looked at. Has 1 spun wrist pin bushing so that connecting rod is junk. All the other ones have pretty good wear on them and my local machine shop no longer reconditions these rods because they’re too problematic in this area. Rocker arm ball pivots and tips were beat up also so getting all new rockers arm assemblies. A few of the mains had some odd wear so I added a line more check to the machine shop list. Looks like it’s going to need to be bored at least 0.020” so we’ll see.

TR6 Hung a new alternator, replaced the emissions hoses and cleaned and refilled the evap cannister. This is a 'new' alternator that I will use until I have the car's original rebuilt for the third time. The original emissions hoses finally started to crack and were fossilized so I replaced them...48 years, cannot complain. Got a quality kit from a vendor which was mostly Continental hoses. I saved the originals.. I obsess about keeping this car as close to original as I am able.

Replaced the starter on the FX50s. In the valley. Long job for a starter, but not particularly difficult. It can be done pretty easily with the fuel injectors, fuel lines, and pressure regulators in place attached to the intake, saving the replacement of ~20 o-rings and some time. I'm not sure why the service manual calls for their removal from the manifold. It took most of a day, instead of the hour I was expecting. Also a little sooner than expected at 140K miles.

Plugs, two coils, and a set of plug boots on a 2005 Ford Econoline. Also changed the oil. Waiting on a mustang to get dropped off.

Right rear wheel hub and an oil change on a 2013 Nissan Altima. Looked over a 1966 mustang, so far it needs lower control arms, upper ball joints, and a water pump. Waiting on a go ahead on that one.
