What are you listening to right now?

Wife and I were lucky enough to see them re-unite when they did , I think for the last time between 2009 and 2015. It was in a smaller casino venue seating about 500 people. It was a real treat as they are one of the few from their original era we never saw. Was big fans of some other Canadian rockers who Bachmans started out with The Guess Who. Telling age again. So long ago that my first purchases of their stuff was on 45s, lps to then 8 tracks. I have a very good Guess Who LIVE Cd in my collection.

The TCB Band (inclusive of the orchestra, and the backing vocals groups which I think were other standalone entities) had such a great sound. Elvis live at MSG is one of my favorite albums of all time. Thought it was fitting to listen to it. This rendition above is about the same though apparently filmed in San Antonio.

Elvis died years before I was born. I’ve never gone to a Vegas show, but if there was one I’d have loved to go to it would be Elvis.

Anyone go look at some of their other videos on their YT channel? You'd hardly recognize them out in public doing everyday people things. I didn't know they were all in a family, like a modern day "Partridge Family".

As you can tell, I love this band!!

The parents are from Transylvania, Romania, and met in the USA by chance. The Dad "Papa Liliac" is a music engineer by trade. Liliac in Romanian means bat, hence the reference to Vamp Metal, even though a lot of their music is heavy rock.

They started their heavy metal/rock public playing by singing at the Santa Monica Pier by lottery playing placement and got so popular the pier was jammed up, they would not let them play there anymore. Then they moved to Georgia during covid because of the overly strict covid mandates of California. Here they are at the Santa Monica Pier in the video.

The band and lead singer has been recognized by Ronny Jame Dio's wife and is the only band to sing his music at their annual cancer fund events. This video is the never publicly recorded "long version" Dio song "The Last in Line" that Vinny Appicie gave to Liliac to play at the cancer fund. They had one week to practice/film/engineer video.

Also Rob Halford of Judas Priest has be friended the band.

Also Melody has sang multiple times with Black Sabbath/ Ronny Jame Dio drummer Vinny Appice and Rudy Sarzo the bassist for Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Blue Öyster Cult, Queensrÿche, and The Guess Who. Along with speed metal guitarist Michael Angelo Batio, seen in this video.

And their 1st ballet.

Whoops, and early "Official Video".

Bless Phil Collins for being a trooper and getting out there to do one last tour with Genesis. To be in such bad shape that you have to sit in a chair for the whole show must be hard, but he did it anyway.
He didn't have to do it, I'm sure that he's got enough money to ride into the sunset,....but he did it.

Here they are in their prime.

I remember as a kid in the 70s, you could buy records everywhere:D All the drug stores, grocery stores, and convenience stores always had a rack of 45s. Not very many I remember had albums. Sometimes when we'd be at the grocery store, and I'd see a 45 I liked from hearing it on the radio, my mom would buy it for me. I think they were maybe 25 cents or 50 cents each. At the most, maybe a dollar.

My grandmother would always go to the "variety store", and they'd have a rack of 45s.

Yes!! I loved the Ben Franklin store!! I remember it having lots of cool toys!! If I remember correctly, it was right next to the service station my dad's friend owned, where he'd always get gas. They'd pop the hood, check the oil, tires, wiper fluid, etc. This was always on Saturdays, and after that, we'd always go to Ben Franklin.

Funny memory, I remember when they'd air up the tires, I'd always want to be sitting in the car to see if I could feel it raising up higher in the air!
