Susanna Hoffs is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist born on January 17, 1959. She is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band The Bangles, which achieved great success in the 1980s.Hoffs was one of the founders of The Bangles, formed in 1981, along with bandmates Vicki Peterson, Debbi Peterson, and Annette Zilinskas (later replaced by Michael Steele).
