What are you eating right now?

I think foodies like @Pablo would like this channel and video on restaurants who have few customers but great exotic food...


There used to be a few places near me that had really good food and were rather empty at lunch time but were crowded at dinner.

Unfortunately most of them went out of business during all the excessive covid lockdown nonsense, over 260 days, that we had in Melbourne.

I made a big pot of chili tonight. A pound of ground beef and a pound of ground turkey and only a small amount of kidney beans to keep the carbs down. I was worried it would be kinda gross because I went to put in a dash of liquid smoke seasoning but ended up accidentally dumping in a couple tablespoons or so. I compensated by doubling the chili powder and adding a few table spoons of honey. It turned out pretty good.
 
Liquid smoke has been banished from my kitchen long ago. Although I have made some mean ass chili with a SINGLE drop. Now that I have so much free time, I make chili with smoked meat. The thought always sets my taste buds going. And the chili IS good, however the smokiness seems to drop quite a bit with the slow long cook.........maybe add half the smoked meats at the end.........
