What are you eating right now?

Another boring meals on wheels day.
BBQ rib patty, bun, pickle slices, parsley potatoes, carrots and an orange.

Better an orange than another apple. Love apples, but they must be peeled.

Might see if I can entice the lady coming tomorrow, to run down town and get us both Chinese for lunch.
Here at ya AM! :D

@Jdeere562, nutrionally speaking, the skin of an apple contains the majority of the beneficial micro nutrients. For example, the skin contains more than 3x as much Vitamin K as the rest of the apple. As far as citrus goes, I like to eat the pith and some of the skin for the same reason. Obviously, you should not eat the skin of fruit that has been sprayed with pesticides.

Got it. So only eat the peel if picked on a deserted island.

I know the skin is nutritional, but I can't stand biting through it.
Kind of a nails on the chalk board thing for me. Hard to describe.

Are you eating Pippin apples?
No idea what they are. All apple skins do the same for me, raw. Cook and get them mushy and they don't bother me.
Used to eat them raw as a kid, now I don't handle them well for some reason. Love them minus the skins.

Making me hungry for a fresh baked apple pie, still warm from the oven with some ice cream!:D

Don't forget a big heaping spoon of whipped cream.
