What are you eating right now?

I had Indian for dinner. If it weren't for the bordello lighting I may have been able to get nicer colors. :p

The name of the thin cracker escapes me at the moment. Comes with three sauces that range from mild to volcano.


Vegetable momo. Because I'm an idiot I filled the holes with spicy sauce.

All I had on my plate. That's a reasonable portion of rice. The naan is not so reasonable. But what they hey?

Chicken stuffing casserole w/gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread and apple sauce.
Should not complain, I am not going hungry at least.

Grocery getter came and did her thing. Took me for a short drive around town. Had not been out of the house for two weeks or more.
They are building a new Runza/Pizza hut combo here. Foundation and walls are up. Not real good food by any means, but another choice anyway. We have few food choices in this small town.

It seems half of my neighbors don't go shopping for food. I see lots of grocery boxes sitting outside the front doors every day. I also notice Instacart deliveries all the time. The only thing I routinely get delivered is a ButcherBox every 6 weeks and I get some food supplies on Amazon.

No grocery deliveries in this small town. Daughter said Hy-Vee delivers for free, but no Hy-Vee here. So I looked into it. $25 delivery fee from closest store in Nebraska, probably at least 15-20 miles away.

I'll just keep my $ local and hire a gal that has been doing it over a year now for me. She treats me well and is coming tomorrow to do house cleaning. We have become friends.

I could get it done cheaper, but hate to shed her, she brings me food and stuff on occasion. Also came to visit several times while in the nursing home and brought me fresh baked goodies.

County Public Health that helps me shower would do it as well, for $15 per hour. I pay her well at $50 per hour. Just spending my kid's inheritance is how I put it. :)

So someone made me try their fasta today. Didn't tell me what it was made from but said it wasn't grain-based. Fake penne (fenne?) in red sauce with cheese. Tasted okay. She said "The brand's called Hoppa, mite" and grinned at me. That made me a little worried and tonight I googled the brand. I wasn't off the mark.

Vegemite is one thing but I don't really want to eat "hoppas" before the apocalypse. But what can you expect from people who eat Fairy Bread? No picture of the cricket penne The product looked like regular whole-grain penne.
