You back on the road again GON, or is this local? Never had Popeyes chicken, none local. Betting I would enjoy the food!
Jd,

On the road today-but am trying to significantly reduce my travel. Eight to twelve flights per week is a young man's game. My back is not recovering from sitting in the airliner seats. I am supposed to retire in 14 months. I have been asked to delay retirement for two years. Tough decision to make.

If you can afford it, take retirement ASAP. Don't wait too long like myself and can't do the things you like, due to a failing body.
Sitting around the house doing nothing gets boring quickly. Best of luck in your decisions my friend.

Disappointing night for food. Went to two restaurants, kitchen closed at both, but happy to sell me booze. Ended up at Kroger, the shrimp are still frozen and yet super smelly, and the crackers ended up being 7.99, no price on the shelf. At 7.99 I would have passed .

I am so sorry

If it's any consolation, I just finished a small bowl of broth for my dinner.

Papa Murphys keto pizza. My goodness this just slaps. Of course it's the only thing I've eaten today, so extra good.

Shel, I speculate when you were growing up, a restaurant would keep the kitchen open during posted hours, as was the case when I was growing up. Times have changed.

Sorry about your broth, hopefully it was a quality broth

Yes, posted hours were kept, and I've not encountered your problem in decades with any of the restaurants I frequent.

As for the broth, it was my choice as I wanted a light repast. It was made with ingredients on hand, and it was perfect for what I wanted. I almost made some chicken but decided I wanted something light. I've almost stopped eating out ... maybe only three or four times in the past year.
