What are you eating right now?

I had a very late breakfast for lunch because of my screwed-up work schedule. I really wanted a ginormous bratwurst with the kraut but I'm a very disciplined eater so I opted for sardines instead. Not that there's anything wrong with sardines. I quite like them - although, I do prefer a bratwurst. When it comes to unhealthy foods, I live vicariously by watching others. Did any of you ever watch Amy and Tammy the 1000-lb sisters?

Oh my - had totally undisciplined eggs Benny for dinner 🙄

Supposed to be sunny side up. Popped the lid on for 30 seconds because some of the egg whites were still a bit runny. Sadly, my standards for food that looks appetizing are pretty low.

I haven't eaten there in over a year either one of us. I was food poisoned around the same time as the pandemic happened and everyone was convinced I had it and then she got food poisoned to the point we had to go to the ER. I am a individual of principle and once I get sick at somewhere and someone else I know gets sick at the same restaurant in the same town at a different location I call it more than lucky coincidence and just stay away from it at all costs. I got sick on one of the trademark hamburgers and she got sick from the taco salad. there is a lady that was hospitalized it made national news and she sued the living bejesus out of them! be careful. my stomach hurts so bad when we took me to the doctor they thought I had appendicitis.

Lunch: Brown Rice and Veggies
The rice was a blend of Tamanishiki Genmai short-grain brown rice grown in California and a medium-grain organic brown rice also grown locally. I like the subtle textural variation of the mixture. Being the end of the week, it's time to use all the leftover veggies, in this case broccoli florets, Brussels sprouts, carrot, zucchini, and bok choy. I did an oilless sauté in chicken stock and then added a simple dressing made of light soy sauce, a very small amount of toasted sesame oil. and a splash of LKK premium oyster sauce. Overall, a simple, filling, and practically fat-free lunch. A warming and flavorful cup of Matcha iri Genmaicha (green tea, toasted brown rice, matcha ) tea from Harney and Sons was a nice accompaniment.

I know what you are talking about. This place inside is spotless but once you have food poisoning you never go back...I had an incident as a kid and I still remember it.

Brined up a bird last night and got her cooked tonight. Amazing as always! That Traeger never disappoints. Pretty much nothing left of it now. Kids scavenged it quick.
Someday I’m coming up there to see your cooking mastery first hand. Every time you post this my mouth waters 😛😛

I don't know if I would like that but I would honestly be respectable enough to try it
