What are you eating right now?

Spent my evening coaxing 3 of a coworkers project cars into a different 🅿️ lot, I was rewarded with dinner
Manhattan Special 👏ON 👏TAP 🤤
Bread with seasoned oil, Chicken Parm, Caesar Salad 🥗

Bowl of Raisin Bran with a banana sliced on top. Then nap time for this old man.

Fell Sat night outside the bathroom and wrenched my knee. Put any weight on it now and I buckle and fall again. Could not get up and ended up crawling to my bed. Could not get in and fell again, only to hit the bedframe with my face. Sliced my eye open pretty good. Daughter is a RN and said I should have had stitches.

She brought me crutches yesterday. Then messaged that she ordered a walker. Not much fun getting old, kids!

NO fancy food in this house soon! Thankfully, my house cleaning lady is local. She got cereal, ice cream, milk and stuff yesterday that I can hobble in to get and eat. I could be doing worse and thankful for what I have here.

Sorry, not trying to drag this thread down or ask for sympathy. Just bored!;)
JD,

Very sorry to hear about the fall- praying for a quick recovery.

Does this seen match the "local cleaning lady" arrangement you have?

My favorite is still probably....I can't really decide. I'm hooked on redmeat as o blood is acidic and it gives me no issues. I like it all and it's a great time to bring people together and share a laugh and listen. That's kinda what @BITOG does too.

NO! Strictly a lady helping out and I pay her! LOL

She has 3 teenage Daughters and I am too old for that drama.

Hummus: My friend of forty years, Sonia, and I made a big batch of hummus today using one of her old family recipes. Her family has been cooking for generations, and her father was a baker for King Hussein bin Talal of Jordan in the mid-1950s. Sonia has some great recipes (OMG, her tabbouleh!), but she won't share the one I want the most: her recipe for stuffed grape leaves. She and her sister, Sosi, just smile enigmatically whenever I ask about it.

Hummus is all set for transport home ... yum!

Satsuma Mandarins: 5 lbs of organic Satsuma Mandarins were delivered today from a farm about 100 miles north of me. I'll make some juice tonight to enjoy with breakfast tomorrow and I'll save some for eating out of hand and to put in a fruit salad. I'll snack on a couple while making the juice.

It has to be pulled to be bbq at least that’s what I’ve heard lol. That’s why its name is pulled pork bbq. Never heard of non pulled bbq. That looks more like brisket which I’ve never been a fan of.
Dunno, I’ve had real BBQ in North Carolina, Kansas City and Texas. It didn’t look even remotely close to what’s on that paper plate. Get a smoker and do it right like brother and I do.

They do pulled pork at our BBQ joints - and the so called chopped brisket buns look like it’s “pulled” …
