Replying to my own post... this bean soup was just OK. Too much kale, I guess, as it is a bit too bitter tasting.Tonight's dinner is in the Instant Pot in slow cooker mode. A La Preferida brand package of 16 bean soup mix, a quart of liquid reserved from stewed chicken quarters a few days ago, garlic, Italian style mixed herbs, 2 ham hocks, and water to cover. I'll add kale, brussels sprouts and carrots in a couple of hours.
