That’s a lot of French toastView attachment 191323French toast. It’s good. Just wish it had more powdered sugar on it. Eating at parents favorite restaurant today. Personally it gives me bad vibes because the kitchen looks nasty but they seem to think it’s ok. I wanted McDonalds lol. Probably the last time I’m eating here. This is the only thing they can cook right. I drenched it in syrup to make up for the missing sugar.
Do you know why it's called French toast? Nobody really knows but it's not a French food. The Romans actually invented French toast but they didn't call it that. I can't remember the Latin name. Sister Inkontinentia did a bad job. The French have something similar to French toast but it's not made with toast and it's eaten as a dessert and not as a breakfast food. One rumor says the guy who popularized French toast went by the last name French. That would be akin to German chocolate which has nothing to do with being of German origin but with a Man named German who invented this type of sweet dark chocolate. I enjoy Fench toast and pain perdu, the French version, with butter and maple syrup in moderation because I don't want to become massive. One slice max and no more often than once a week. Gotta save room for cheesecake.View attachment 191323French toast. It’s good. Just wish it had more powdered sugar on it. Eating at parents favorite restaurant today.
