Lunch: a riff on "southwest" black beans and rice. The rice was
cooked in a chipotle-infused chicken stock and the beans were
marinated in a bit of adobo sauce.

BTW Drayton Harbor Oyster Co in Blaine WA does make a passable Oyster Poor Boy.

No good Phily steak, no soft shell blue crab, most any hoagie not great, etc on the west coast is all I am saying

I also like Cioffi's in North Burnaby, long standing establishment https://cioffisgroup.com as well as Parthenon on West Broadway which is Greek owned and focussed, been around forever, now at a beautiful new location across the street as the original was wrecked by fire.
