Homemade pizza at AutoMechanic residence today. This is my personal pizza 🍕. Pepperoni, mushroom 🍄, pineapple 🍍 and bacon 🥓. And seasoned with oregano. I know the haters will hate on the pineapple lol. But I love pineapple on pizza. And no pizza is a pizza without pepperoni. My niece and nephews made their own with mushrooms and olives and pepperoni and my parents made theirs with green peppers 🫑, onions 🧅 and pepperoni and bacon 🥓 and mushrooms 🍄. I kind of messed up my crust but oh well haha.

The only fresh oysters in Iowa come from cattle and hogs! LOL
Store bought shellfish oysters come from the grocery store.

When I was still working at the JD dealership, we had a local farmer that raised cattle about a mile away.
When it was time to castrate calves every year, he would bring us 3-4 five gallon buckets of oysters.

Come Friday night, we would keep the dealership open, get a keg of beer and have an "oyster feed"
Most people brought a side dish and we had a feast. I miss those feeds and the days back then!

Love mountain "oysters" Pablo! Been years since I ate them. Some people have that "ick" factor in their heads and won't try them.
Those willing to give them a taste, normally get a plate full.

I had to draw the line on brains. Watched a cooking show and they carried on about how good they were.
Next city trip, I found and bought some in one of the larger grocery stores.

Fried them up like on TV. Disgusting smell. Took one taste and dumped the rest in garbage can, then took out the trash. LOL;)

Sometimes around here, you can buy cattle or hog oysters in small meat lockers.
Also turkey oysters, but I would not recommend them. Too small and not worth the work skinning them out.
If they are not at least golf ball size, I pass on them.
