What are you doing right now?

We're working through conditions/inspections on the house we're buying. Today I got a copy of the original 1951 permit for underground oil tank installation. It was a 565 imperial gallon tank (678 US Gallons), which is huge. That would cost over $5K Canadian to fill at today's price.

Next, I got a copy of the 1984 Permit where they installed an above ground tank. Clearly noted on the permit, by the inspector, was that the underground tank was removed as part of the install. There is also a fairly recent scan of the property, with ground penetrating radar, metal scanners, etc...and they found no tanks (and no dead bodies, presumably).

That's one thing off the list!

No its just a black snake but if it was venomous I might consider that.

I’m at lunch. I’m waiting on a response back from credit union #2 to see if they will change their mind on a credit card without a cosigner in order to keep my auto loan because credit union #4 is offering to scoop that up plus give me the credit card I want for way better terms and a very generous limit. Either way I’m taking the credit card from #4 but if #2 offers the credit card to keep the auto loan then I’ll take their card too and let them keep the auto loan. I wrote them a very nice and polite email because I figured that would be better than saying give me this or I’m taking this and a one star review on Google lol. I know they can’t match the offer on the amount of credit this other credit union is giving me though which is fine I told them they didn’t have too but I still am mad they turned me down in June so they have to make it right for me to stay because I let them buy it from my main credit union originally anyway. I was very kind and like hey will you reconsider this because your competitors are offering me a way better rate on my car as well as an unsecured card without a cosigner so can we work together. I’m excited to see what they say.

Credit union #2 wins the battle lol. They are like please don’t let us lose the auto loan and give us time to talk to the underwriters I’m sure we can work something out. So she just called me back and they are going to give me more than the other credit union on the credit card and won’t need a cosigner. They also thanked me for not blindsiding them with a check from another credit union paying off my car and them losing it and said how much that meant to them. I’m satisfied as heck now lol. It was basically my way of talking them into giving me the credit card lol. Now I am part of another credit union too and have a card there so that works out also. I now have a pretty good amount of credit but I’m not going to utilize it all because I’m never doing that again but let’s just say my available credit more than doubled with the two new cards lol.

I am constantly reminded how fortunate I am. The wife has never been annoying, she shares my interests, etc.

The description sounds like my narcissist oldest sister. The good news is with our parents gone, I no longer have to deal with her.

Hopefully this person is someone you can avoid going forward.
