I wish I could retire lol. I think about it more and more everyday then realize I’m still at least 40 years away lol. I do feel sorry for the 82 year old tech at work who doesn’t have any money saved for retirement and can’t ever retire because of that. He said he doesn’t believe in retirement. He’s worked for our company since 1985 and besides the owners and one or two others he’s the longest tenured employee there. The boss is trying to push him into retirement because all he does is take up space and complains about not being closed because there is still snow on the ground and because we have to work during the Olympics and that’s about it really.

We are just riding around. I don’t know what we are having for dinner but hopefully something good. I’m excited for Wednesday when I have the house to myself because parents are going to great uncle’s funeral so I’m going to go go Bath and Body Works with my best friend and then come home and probably DoorDash me some fajitas or Chinese food lol. I may go pick it up but that’s far to drive lol. I wish it was baseball season I’m itching to watch some games.
Make some drastic changes to your spending, saving, and investing, and you could retire much sooner than that.
Might be a good idea to get better at managing money now or you could be heading for the same fate.
You heard the saying that starts out "Wish in one hand..."? There's no time like the present to start putting something, heck, anything away. 40 years is a long time to have compounding work its magic. And provided Congress doesn't change the rules, money in a Roth will never be taxed again.
Note, I am *not* a financial advisor, I *do not* play one on TV, and I *did not* stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I’ve got a 401K but if they keep changing the retirement age that might be a problem. I’m really relieved that I finally got all my credit cards at least one payment ahead now though so at least I can pay them rest of the way and then once they get paid off I’m not going to use them much and I’ll just put the extra money in savings.Might be a good idea to get better at managing money now or you could be heading for the same fate.

I just had my tax return prepared and I’m getting back over $3000 this year! 
We always aim for keeping what we owe just below the threshold of incurring penalties. We would rather utilize our cash to work for us.

I’m at work. Ready to retire again lol. Also been dealing with annoying texts all day from my friends controlling dad. I’m like I’m just gonna ignore them for now lol. I’m looking forward to my tax refund I’m getting $404 back. And have to pay $7 to the state. Last year I got nothing back and had to pay a dollar lol.
Between my wife and I we paid well over 6 figures in federal, state and city tax for 2025. We make quarterly tax payments. We spent less than we were taxed last year because we didn't have high discretionary expenses other than a new car.

Wow you must be a millionaire lol. At my work they just take out whatever they calculate I guess I’ve never been asked and didn't know you could change the amount you pay into it.
Going to install soon. Filled up with Amoco 89 e5, microdose of Redline Si-1, will use Lucas Throttle Cleaner with PEA while doing the install. Will use the CRC IVD GDI cleaner right before next oil change of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20. Definitely going to change over to the 5w30 formula after this next change. Looking at exhaust from Remark, Apexi and Takeda. Apexi is over 1500.00, Remark is around 1100 and Takeda around 700 but looks more OE like with less attention and flair so I might use the spare coin and get a Strut Bar and Sway Bar or Brace from Cusco with savings.
